Description
this was outside my house and the spider already had one wasp mimic wrapped for a later snack and it was wrapping a new one.in the top left if you look close a tiny insect decided that it wanted to snack on the spiders meal, or whatever and became part of the meal
it was hard to photograph because the wind was blowing the huge web and also bright light. I left it as big as possible so it could be viewed easily
thanks for viewing and any comments

Fainting!!!! It's a horror movie in the making Richard! What a stark reminder of nature at work!!!!!!!!
Now that was a dumb idea by that small fly thingy, now it's bagged as well...DOH ! Great captures, I know all about the wind blowing the webs, but try doing it at night...aarrggh ! Gruesome and interesting at the same time, well done Richard ! ~Cheers~ :o)
WOW! Really up close! Great macro shots.
SUPER interesting captures my friend!!!!!
Great image- well done!!! But not my favorite critter-although they do have a place in our world.
Aww,wonderful collage,splendid details in all macros,stunning captures!!:-)
Interesting series. I spent a half hour yesterday afternoon watching one of these spiders as it constructed a web. A very fascinating procedure. As a kid,we called these spiders "face spiders" because they seem to construct a lot of their webs at exactly the right height to insure that they would wind up on your face if you did not pay attention to where you were walking, lol. I am impressed with the fact that you managed to focus at all under the conditions of a moving subject and zeroing in on a small critter suspended in the air. I have a very difficult time locking on to the subject when I attempt such shots. Thanks for sharing. Lee
