Description
This old farm is very close to where I live; and I have always wanted to get a picture of it. It's right off the highway, so I never felt safe pulling over. But last week, I finally did it. And, I'm glad I did.
Thanks so much for stopping by; I hope you have a great Saturday.
Shari

Very sharp image.. well done!!
Very good photo!
So many hues and textures ... I can see why this place attracted you. The one little crooked thingy on top of the middle building adds even more to the "past its prime" feel. Well captured.
Glad you stopped too. beautiful image Shari, Have some fun in PS and color the barn a rustic red or any color of your choice... =)
Really an impressive architecture & composition!!I wish you a nice weekend!
Good capture photo erland
What a beatuful farm your farms are so different in the US compared to the ones here in the UK...
Thank you for being so brave as to pull over, otherwise we would not have been able to view this fasinating farm. It does look a little dated, I wonder if anybody still lives there? A fantastic pic and thanks for sharing it, I look on these as, sort of widows into other peoples worlds.
Beautiful look have this Farm.. remember some I saw in movies.. Great work my friend and lovely colours
Love the roof lines - a very specific name I can't remember - gambrel? really nice! Near my hometown of Richmond IN, there are some barns built by itinerant shipbuilders from the northeast. Go inside and you are literally in an upside-down ship! My uncle-in-law told me about a time when they tried to tear one of them down, but it was so strong, it failed to budge. So they just knocked out the walls and pulled the roof apart piece by piece. Only then did they discover there wasn't a single nail.
Wonderful old farmstead shot! excellent capture!
One wonders what this was like in it's full blown heyday A beautiful old barn glad you captured it at last... Love it... Hugs Susan~

I love the composition of old farm buildings showing texture and character, fantastic display.
I like the one bent vent on top. Adds character. Great shot.
this looks really handmade. very interesting style...
I love how this capture has so many different shapes!! Each building is different which makes it almost an abstract scene!... Fantastic POV on this one and great texture as well! :-)
It´s places like this that really sets of my imagination. I´m glad you finally desided to stop and snap this shot (Think you mentioned this place a long time ago, but said it wasn´t safe to stop there) Is the place still inhabited, or can I move in anytime soon??
