Description
Mt Adams as seen from 2800 ft (850 m) up Mt Defiance. We're about halfway up the mountain now, and everyone is tired. But views like this keep us going.
I fiddled with the sky on this for the longest time, but finally undid all my changes. There was almost no contrast between the mountain and the sky. What I finally did was use the shadow/highlight filter and darken the mountain a bit to make it show up. I didn't change the color at all; it really was that color.

wow she is very beatiful and awesome image!!!:)
wonderful view naturally framed by the trees. Excellent.
Such a beautiful eye-capturing view. Love the natural framing. Excellent job. Aloha
The natural frame makes it appear so misty and faraway. Beautiful shot!
I really like this picture - especially the trees framing the mountain ranges and Mt. Adams. Beautiful!
What an amazing view this is! Thank you again for doing all that hiking! :) Mount Adams doesn't get nearly the attention it deserves. Rainier is higher, St. Helens is far more famous, but Adams is the second-highest peak in the State of Washington (12,276ft, 3,742m), and is just fabulous. This is one of the most beautiful shots I've ever seen of this gorgeous peak. Straight to my favorites it goes!
Amazing photo, I love the way you framed it with the trees ...
Great View , clear and sharp
An amazing view and a wonderful shot of it!! I know you must be having a great time... I sure hope you are!
Fabulous view! I agree with auntietk about Mt. Adams not getting much attention, even though it's a hotbed of UFO activity!
Beautiful view...

OMG! Gorgeous! Framed perfectly with the trees.
A fantastic vista and perfectly composed with the natural framing from the trees in the foreground. This sort of sceney would definitely be the boost required to motivate you up the rest of the way. Excellent capture and postwork - totally undetectable, which is how it should be. xx
Beautiful capture of Mt Adams.
Able to capture such far away detail, is truly a magical touch!
