This is the first of three images I am posting that show Eastern Pondhawk Dragonflies feeding. The first two images are of a female and the third is of a male.

So they actually ingest the food rather than sip liquid from it or liquify it? This is very interesting. Good view and wonderful appeal.
Nice view...
Wonderful colour. Caught him eating her tea lol. Excellent macro shot.
superb !
Wow, Lee .. this is great. To capture this so up close you can see him chowing down. Excellent work, once again. :)
Excellent capture and beautiful color!!
What a wonderful capture, right at the perfect time! I love the greens in this shot - how well camouflaged she must be to the naked eye. Excellent capture. xx
poor food :) an impressive capture! never seen a green damsel... doing this!
Excellent capture. Love the colors and all the beautiful and yes, gory details. Everyone thinks these little delights are gentle and sweet, when actuality, they are quite brutal. Ah well, we all have to eat. ;o) Bunny
Beautiful as always :)
Amazing colouring. BJ
The dragonfly is beautiful but the background does not do it justice.
