Description
I feel very fortunate to have managed to catch a series during this approach. I may have to upload one or two more from it just because the bird is so majestic. Still not sure why more twigs are being installed at this late date in the fledging of the offspring. Maybe the parents are just trying to make the young understand they won't be doing the hunting any longer, so don't expect fish EVERY time someone comes back to the nest? "Time to get your wings outta here!"
20070807 EDIT: I have finally gotten around to dealing with the canoes & the white house in the background, and also employed Noise Ninja. Thanks for all the suggestions & comments..

Your settings are perfect for this shot, what interests me is the noise/ Jpeg artifact. looks like you have taken this shot in small format & resized it in large format?, looks like there was once excellent detail, you have an excellent vantage point for these wonderful birds. Stuart
Yeah these Raptors are known collectors and will bring back all manner of things back to the nest .. They do this to aid the bonding and add to the nest each year.. You are indeed fortunate to beable to witness and get fairly close to the nest.. In the UK you have to be registered to take such shots... I agree with Stuart that the larger file is very noisey / with the jpeg artifacts perhaps your crop needed to have some interpolation software to enhance the image more..
Wow. I would love to witness that. Ok, I'd not be able to get the shots, buttttt...
Fantastic capture...bravissimo!!!V:DDD.Hugsxx
Very good capture. The large image is indeed noisy - but it seems the small one, too. With a tighter crop and let's say a file size of 1000px wide - you wouldn't have needed to resort to a high compression, thus adding to the general image noise. Using software like Neat Image, Noise Ninja or Noiseware you could also have reduced the existing noise quite well. But all that dose not change the beauty of this capture! Bravo for that!
Thanks to everyone for their comments. The feedback is very helpful. I decided to try ro re-save as per kjpweb's suggestion. Hopefully, that's a little better..
O.M.G. I am so envious. What a great shot!!!!!!
