And yet another bug. For shame! ;=D DPH
Well thanks for the dedication Shari. I am more than happy that we are bug buddies but in truth, I am not an expert on Dragonflies, lol. I just have a good reference book on them. My best bet about this one which you have captured so well, is that it is either an immature male or a female "Calico Pennant". The yellow markings on the tail would be red on a mature male. I have not seen one at my place yet but I keep looking for new ones all the time. Thanks for sharing, Shari. Your bug buddy, Lee.
Very nice dragonfly capture. Shows off the color patterns and structure very well. Nice presentation and a perfect dedication.
such rich detail, a nice study piece.
If bugs could be gorgeous you found one! Wonderfully captured, love the detail and color!!

Very nice shot. I love the clarity of the wings.
Bugs are pretty, and you've shown why. There are all sorts of awesome little flying critters around where I live but I haven't been skilled or lucky enough to get anything approaching this level of badass. You RULE.
Super amazing details I envy you now my friend. Gorgeous work
outstanding macro and I consider dragonflies/Damsels extremely beautiful
