Description
This wonderful gorilla, likely bred in captivity would have little chance in the wild. Even the wild ones have a very difficult time..since "we have seen the problem and it is us", certainly not each of us but humankind.
I love nature and the natural order of things, much of which is quite difficult. I am not a tree hugger but have hugged a few trees to feel their spirits or imagine I have. Perhaps this fellow will get a melon tomorrow.
And here I go, placing my thoughts to a lovely animal who may be quite content.

Oh that is sad. Wishing for the impossible:( We have destroyed alot of nature. But we have also done some wonderful things to help perserve evolution. Lovely pose and image mate:)
they always looks sad to me.excellent capture Tom. I assume you was shooting through glass
I like your interesting projected thoughts into this gorilla, he may very well be saying, "No please no more melons I'm alergic to the pesticides on them" just give me a cool & refreshing popcycle, cherry favor please... or could one of you kids please throw me some more bubblegum??? I've actually seen gorillas and chimps chewing gum??? Zoos, so contraversial, I guess we need them now for the mere survival of some species... I just always hope they are good to the animals, and give them room to move and exercise... I've hugged a few trees too Tom... Excellent image!!!!!
Not having known anything other than his own world here, he is probably as content as he can be. Its when they are brought in from the wild that I feel badly for them. They have memories that haunt them.
Softly hunched posture always makes me feel for these animals...well I have a reason, we killing them sometimes rapidly then we pull a handbreak and just cut a trees under them. Sad very sad. Very good shot Tom!
