Description
If you could have seen me... I was wandering around
the yard taking photos when I walked across the
patio and saw this little garter snake. I got down
on my belly and got as close as I could and he just
stayed there, probably frozen in fear at the sight of this crazy
woman sneaking up on her belly... enjoy...

People commonly refer to garter snakes as gardener snakes because they're often found in
the garden and the name seems sensible. The real name, however, is GARTER SNAKE
This name was coined because they look like a style of garter that men used to wear in
the old days, to hold up their socks.

I always thought people called them gardner snakes because the didn't know the correct name. :-) What a cute little guy. I think he's smiling at you.

LOL at people calling them 'gardener' snakes. I love how things like that happen sometimes...and then the new name becomes acceptable. But I digress... This is wonderful. So crisp and clean and well done. Lol at you lying on your belly to take this shot. Maybe he thought you were imitating him...Adorable capture, Akemi-san and sorry it took me a while to get to this. Hope you're enjoying a wonderful week! -M :^)
