Does anyone have a clue to what this is??????
UPDATE ON THIS CURIOUS THING...
It's a: "Blue poppy anemone" after the flower
has gone...
"The genus anemone is conformed by 120 species of perennial plants or herbs
of the buttercup family native to the eastern Mediterranean area and Asia minor .
Anemone comes from a Greek word "anemos" that means wind so it is also called "windflower"
*(it has fruits that often bear long "hairy styles" that aid their distribution by the wind*)"

No, but very interesting find and captured well.
Jeez, what is that? Quite a unique looking flower, almost looks like a small cotton sock...a nice clean shot of it, just haven't a clue what it might be...Nice work Akemi-san...Aloha~
It's a sheep plant lol, wonderful shot but no idea what it is .
Amazing! I have no clue. Is this growing in your yard? Maybe if you take it to the 'county extension office' someone could identify it. If you find out what it is, I would be curious to know.
Hmmmmm. Looks like a face on a curly stick. Like an unripe strawberry. I like the little neck ruff you knitted for it! Nice touch! ;) (Sorry I can't be more help - I've never seen anything like this!)
Hmmmm...An eel with a happy face peeking out thru the coral and even throwing a kiss? Dont know what it is but kewl capture. Aloha
Fantastic ! Good day :)
You got me there. I have no clue at all what it is. Maybe you discovered a new flower! Then you can name it after yourself. Perhaps you should call it Akemia woolifolium, lol. Anyway, it's a great capture. Now I'm curious about it, too. Let me know if you ever find out what this is. Have a great day, sweetie.-M :^)
...something from the cast of "Little Shop of Horrors" maybe...?
Oh fantastic macro!
Even Google didn't help with this one, I'm afraid. Are you sure it's not a sock? :-) Very well presented, whatever it is.
