Description
This one of a series of pools in a desert gulch that feeds Sitting Bull Falls, about 35 miles from Carlsbad, New Mexico. Quite unexpected and idyllic in such an arid environment.
This is the second in a series of shots I captured Saturday, April 21, when I and my son got a father and son trip, where we got to hike around, an activity I sorely miss.
Photo No. 1 of the series can be found here:

I'd love to hear from you guys about your thoughts on these images. I rarely get to shoot anything scenic anymore, because the area I live is bereft of pretty geology -- well, topography of any kind. I'm in the middle of a featureless plain. Sitting Bull Falls is more than two hours from where I am, so I was irrationally excited to get to hike for the day.
Good day, all.

Perfect shoot!!
This looks like the perfect place to get away from it all. Wish I was there! Lovely capture!
