There are several nice elements going on in here but the fact that the highlights are totally blown out with no detail is something that distracts from the over all image and unfortunately degrades its merits. I honestly wish this were not the case. egmont

I have to disagree with cameraobscura2 on this one!!! I think you've done a marvelous job with the exposure here and timed it to perfection... In my eyes this is and excellent shot!

what i especially like in this image is the 'story' it tells. the contrast between the door and the apparently recently whitewashed wall with the sun on it, the cat and the dove.

It's a good image - and my opinion is somewhere between short_ribs and egmont's. Some postwork probably could have helped in the critical areas.
