Description
An attempt at a portrait of John Coltrane, one of the brilliant jazz musicians of the 50s and 60s. Several years ago, I did a Poser portrait of Miles Davis and it came out pretty close. This one was hard to do. Got the face as close as possible in DAZ Studio, then basically painted over it, in Photoshop, using photo references. Of course most all the details were lost in shrinking the image for web use.
Used Dreamlight's Studio Light Pro. Made the chair, found the sax a long time ago on the net.

Nicely done....one of the best images I've seen come out of DAZ/studio yet....but please say you are not abandoning Bryce!!
Very nice, I can feel the Blue.
Dave, incredible likeness!!! I am very familiar with John, I play the alto Sax, having learned very young, and have a number of John's works. Excellent creative manipulation, you captured his personality wonderfully! [=
