On Easter weekend we took a drive up to the Mt
Baker area, it was breathtaking and so refreshing,
just what I needed!!! enjoy...

Mount Shuksan is a glaciated peak in the North Cascade National Park.
Shuksan lies immediately to the east of Mt Baker, just south of Canada.
Shuksan is composed of Shuksan Greenschist, oceanic basalt that was
metamorphosed when the Easton terrane smashed into the west coast of
North America, approximately 120 million years ago...

Wow, what a treat this one is. I don't think I've ever seen this mountain; I don't get up that way very often. This is a beautiful capture. I love seeing the sun on that pristine snow. Yeah, I noticed the color of the ice. Same color for the same reason. :-)

Wow, now I know what I'm going to get to see in June since this area is on our travel itinerary. Akemi, this shot is spectacular! Between you and Dennis (Cosine) I seem to be following the two of in your travels. It was your picture of Palouse Falls that peaked our interest and we went to visit that on one of our car trips (and it was well worth the visit).
