Description
I was reading a couple of old Gold Key Star Trek comics on Saturday and thought, hmm...wonder if I could do that.
So, using my own Enterprise model (TS4), a spaceship by Geodesic, an appropriate font from a site and scanned photos of Kirk and Spock/Gold Key corner logo, I set about making up a fictional comic cover.
As my comics are the UK versions I put the price in pence on it as well.
Hope you like it.

Excellent work!!! Great idea and concept!!!
Creative work, I like it!!
Kirk & Spock look so young there!! Great fun pic! 4
Outstanding! You captured the classic look of Gold Key comics. I agree with TheBryster, they do look young ... was it that long ago? Gosh, I feel old ; LOL!!!
Nice work!
Wonderful work. I used to read those too when I was a kid. :)
Awesomness, splendid cover image ^^
Perfect tribute to the comic! At time we have the same comics in Italy... I've collect them all ;) BRAVO!
Duo, looks like they got all over the place, eh? Thanks for the kind comments, guys. The font was the thing that enabled me to produce this image...otherwise it could have been just another Trek image. Might try another one...with figures this time... and in true Gold Key/Wyndham tradition they won't look like anyone!!
Nicely done! Sure does capture the look of those old Gold Keys. I all but lived on those things in between the time the series ended here in the states and the first movie was finally released. Thanks for the nostalgia trip.
It looks really cool what you've done. But do they escape the wrath of the dilithium pirates? Can't wait for the next issue to find out!!
Missed this - well realised and a great presentation.
