Description
The top image is just right after the telescope shot so that be about halve hour befor the sun set. I did some post work on and sharpen it too. You can really put 28 on the dark and run the middle tones up to 80 with out lossing any details in these IR shots. You try that with any other photo and you just have a mess.
Now the bottom one I took at night as you see and I was happy to see the lights flare out like this. It mind blowing and I had it set on 400asa too. I not going to put it on 400asa no more; live and learn. bet it would been blown on 50asa I guess.
top and bottom is the same street just a little diff place on the street I shot it at same trees and same building diff people walking.
Just to compare what it be for day and night shot
thanks for comments and looking

I did learn all lights put out some Infrered light
that is very awesome secne!!!!")
Awesome collage of the same street at different times of the day, capture here, loved it, Bravo! :))
I like the top better because of little or no grain.interesting experiments. did your wife come home
You did a very good work with the lighting! Great result with those two photos..Excellent Jocko! :)
Some fine 1950's movie mood captures there, Jocko! I really like the POV and DOF in both photos, and the light flares in the bottom shot. You put a lot of effort in your photography, my friend.
Jocko the lower photograph sure got some neat glowing light effects via you use of IR film and the high ASA setting, so I hope you occasionally continue with this setting on the night shots that would in your opinion benefit from such an effect. Say, can you get a darkroom to us divided D76 developer on your film, as I unferstand it divided developers (2 seprate develpment baths rather than one, then a stop, fix, and rinse rinse rinse) can give amazingly high ASA values with significantly less grain than any single bath developer. Making prints takes space, equipment, paper, darkroom, etc. Developing film negatives and slides only takes much less, a dark bag or closet for loading, a film developer can (forget the proper name), a timer, developer/stop/fix solutions, a sink with running water to rinse, and clothespins to hang. Maybe the negatives could then be direct scaned into your computer if you tried this method, but you would need a hi-dpi scanner. Excellent artwork Jocko!!!
I was thinking of this as I payed about $20 for the IR film. my scanner is a epson photo scanner. I was going to look it up on the net but never got around to it. I know if I do black and whites it be easy but I hear color is harder to develop. I going to check in on this too. Some times I hear the wrong information out there. I look it up later do not have time now lol
Thanks for another lesson from the handbook of Jocko.I like seeing the results of your experimentation.
Never, ever stop doing new stuff Jock, This is awesome work, you are like a breath of fresh air. Love these works. Hugs. Di.
That Tree over 200 years old for Sure :)) Great shot
that a white oak tree
Iteresting presentation, and lighting! 8-)
nice shot!!!
Top shot is good, I like a dark tones and much sharper!
I'm sure you can get the same results with B&W film, without the expense ! try the photography forum for good hint's and expert help ! ~Cheers~
Again, I love both photos. The bottom one is a bit grainier, but I love the look of that! I really like the way the lights flare, but I think that will happen regardless. Maybe not, I don't know a lot about photography besides point and shoot, LOL. The top one is a beauty, much drama there I think becaus e of the hight contrast between dark and light. Awesome work .. again!!
Hello my dear friend,Wonderful Photography. Excellent!! Congratulations!!
Excellent shootings! Really like that Infrared night time, cool stuff!!!
Stunning night shot Jock!
A brilliant taken night shot! Both captures have their own facination! Bravo!!!
A stereotype 400 ASA which gives to pulling if little grain corresponds already to a beautiful technical prowess, a telescopic sight giving to the result a so beautiful depth of field, leaves me pantois. Already two indisputable purely technical qualities. Where Jocko intervenes, of course, our expert in surprised of all kinds is there, it is to have the idea to photograph the same place the day and the night, for thus having about, the human vision and the cat-like vision of the same place! Thank you jocko to think of showing us that!
Good work and picture erland
Both very cool shots Jock! Sounds like you are having a lot of fun experimenting! Thanks for the peeks! (:
They both look really cool Jock
Really like the glow of the lights in the bottom one!
