Description
I was walking by and saw this . He say he was looking at Venus lol and it was 30 minutes before sundown. I looked and Saw Venus.
I know that IR film should have made the sky dark but here it looks blown. I do not know if it was the setting of 400asa or me forgetting to put on the red filter or the golden hours[thinking that the sun shine across the sky instead of comeing down like at noon time{maybe more IR on the skt at the golden hour of photo time}] One just have to think????
Later on at night he was showing Saturn. A lot of people was there looking. I looked and I saw the rings of Saturn lol I try to get a shot of it but did not come out. Used my digital camera for the shot of Saturn. He say that is what happen most the time.

it the "IR file of the goft club house." the top one is untouch so sut it out and put it in photoshop and use the levels on it. See how much you can use the levels and the sunlight area will still have they detail and the shadows too. It a lot more that any image I even did use a level with.
thanks for ever thing

Great Capture!!
Very nice picture Jocko!
So what floor does Venus live on, and was she pretty! ;) Great capture Jock! ;)
Dear Jock, I wasthinking about astrophotography and starting to write this and then I saw Dennis' comment about "what floor Venus lies on!!!!" GUYS!!!!!!!!!! Shooting picture through a telescope usually imvolves removing the camera lens and then using an adapater to connect directly to the scope - the scope becomes the "lens" - and a BIG telephote lens!!!! This pictures you can take are really neat that way, but the learning curve is steep to get the first good one!!!! The best way is to find someone, maybe this guy, that is alreayd doing it nad learn from the tricks from them!!!! I love looking though telescopes!!!!! Love ya!!! Meredith
Excellent capture Jocko!:)
Oddly appealing... interesting shot.
Star gazing on the streets, a portable observatory...kool idea and capture, but I think Meredith may have had a few too many drinks after work !!! ~Cheers~ hehehe
Another awesome photo .. you will figure this all out, I know! In the meantime, we are enjoying the fruits of your labors!
Science in Action. I had so much opportunities to look thru these large telescopes but the line was too long. Glad you got to take a look. Aloha
Very nice shot!!! I think I have telescope envey now. :)
A fascinating scenery you have captured! What a large telescope you have got here!!!
Oh yes, so beautiful picture and very nice composition b&w !!! Well done :)
Sometime in 1963 the Astronomy department built a building with the Physics department insuring that I would always have a Newtonian reflector telescope to go with my F=d(mv)/dt. In I few years I would go each year to visit Mt. Wilson and then at the end of the family I took my sons to see Mt. Palomar. They lived their late teen years next to it in Carlsbad. Saturn of course is th symbol of business. I looked that up after visiting the Saturn corp. Voyager is what showed me the retrograde moons in the rings and how they don't collide as they run at each other. I guess you had to be there.
Interesting !
Excellent B&W photo Jock....!!!
Curious street scene... and what a machine ! Super Jock.
