Description
After a few encouragements and some liquid vitamin B, went out with my camera looking for something to post. Run-off water from this rock ledge was really nothing to look at (it was terrible). But with a little adjustment with the shutter speed, it can look nice. At what point do we change the image of what we really see into something different as shown here? Aloha and thank you for viewing

oh WOW! In my unprofessional opinion I think it's AWESOME! I can hear it splashin! You did a fine job with whatever shutter speed you used L ty for sharing this terrific shot!
I agree. Th speed for waterfalls makes the difference big time. Bravo.
Yep, shutter speed can make all the difference in the world. Great job making the impossible possible. Aloha and have a great week.
wow thats an awesome looking shot and a very cool fall.
Excellent capture Stuart
Wowww, so beautiful picture on this waterfall and excellent composition and color !!! Excellent my friend !! Aloha :)
I need a shower.....wonderful, looks like satin water.......
So excellent!!!
Glad you went out and made this shot, it is just gorgeous, looks like running forever!
My shower is not so beautiful..it is pity !!...Is it warm?
I live in a flat state, very little in the way of hills and mountains are non existent. Rocks are not a common element, and run off is typically after the rain has landed on the flat sandy soil and is making it's way to the road via osmosis and should it feel most comfortable to just collect in my back yard and back door, so it does....LOL Your beautiful run off gives those like myself the opportunity to enjoy what we do not see around us. Shutter speed picked up the foamy look? Wow! That is a talent you know! Thank you and Good Morning from Jacksonville Florida! [=
Great composition and lovely colours... Hugs and Aloha!!!!
We change what we see when it makes things look better. Amazing, it looks like a waterfall until you notice the size of the plants nearby.
cool;)
=) Careful...your expertise is showing... There is the seen, the unseen, and the imagined... all can be be appreciated as evidenced by the great variety of images we have on R'osity. Your falls are beautiful! Thanks for being un-lazy! grinningdeb~
Bravo - you made it a highly interesting image! Cool!
Dear Errol, The question is one of what you are trying to do. If you were a hydrologist trying to take a factual picture to measure run off, then you are going to shoot the photo in one way. But if you are looking for artistic content, then you are just using the scene you see as the canvas upon whihc you paint your art. I think all artistic photos are changed one way or another. Just cropping them changes them - you remove something so the viewers focus is directed to what you want them to see!! SO - in my totally blond unprofessional opinion - go for it!!! Do anything you can do to create the art that you see in your mind's eye!!!!! This is a stunning photo - and I suspect that the real world didn't look like this!! But it's a better pciture artistically because we see what you "really saw" in the possibilities of the run off!!!!! Very excellent work!!! Love ya!!! Meredith
This is very lovely
Nice capture and some nice exposure here.. wanna see more waterfalls shots :) Have a nice day/night my friend JOE
Very beautiful capture!
This is beautiful...just beautiful.
It's beautiful! BJ
Interesting question. IR has a similar issue. In both cases though, we are recording what is physically there. The camera descides to show it to us in a way we cant see it normally, and that is pretty cool.
Beautiful waterfall capture!!!
It is a beautiful fall and capture, Errol!! Good on you getting out and about with the camera :-) Aloha. Diane.
A beauty Errol !
taking an excellent picture or fixing after the fact is a natural thing for you. the clear water is really a nice thing to see. very little water running anywhere here except people wasting it by over watering
Now this is a very cool capture Errol!!!!! Lovin' that new camera eh????? We are too!!!!! Aloha!!!!
So wonderful waterfalls!!!!!!!
wonderful, I love longer exposures of falling water, what is that about 1 second? good work.
