I love these simple things, they are all so many jewels of Mother Nature ! Excellent idea and a very lovely done Maria.
Wonderful photo. It is wonderful to walk through fallen leaves and hear and feel the crunching, crackling sound.
Is that a exploded puffball fungi.. or a fallen Oak-apple (as we call insect induced growths on oaktrees in England). These are such beautiful, coloured, crisp and crunchy oak leaves

What a wonderful composition, so delicately arrayed.. together like mother nature's very own collage....... this is a beautiful image, lighting, texture, shadows and colours! A breath of fresh air, in the frigid winter cold season!
Even in winter there are lovely colours and textures as your image shows.
