Description
This is a wild Koala that we saw on Kangaroo Island, South Australia! I was not optimistic about seeing a wild Koala on our trip but we did, he was running around on the ground too! :-) Not the greatest photo but I tried not to get too close to him and my camera doesnt perform well on zoom shots. Thank you for your much appreciated comments, have a great day!

This is a fantastic capture. I never saw them on the ground.
A very nice shot, indeed, and how cool to see them out in the wild! Glad you got a shot of him... a very nice memory for you! :)
A wonder shot Wendy !!!! and I'm happy to read that this so cute Koala is a wild one ! I love them !!!! I dream since I'm a little girl to take one in my arms and to make him a very big Hug ;o))))))
Very cool capture, I think the detail turned out great. Nice work!!
that would really be a treat.I saw a mountain goat near a highway in Arizona and right after I saw a sign announcing a goat crossing caution. it is very clear and in focus so I do not see any problem with your Koala. capture or not, I would be happy to see one in the wild
A prize collection to your photography. Excellent. Aloha
Very well captured, this one looks like a male, we look out our back door & see these once or twice a week, they often run along the fence line before climbing the tree, the male is very noisy at night, grunting & growling. Stuart
I say it is very clear ,and in such natural element. Nice find.
The emminently huggable koala. Great photo.
Strange Kangaroo - but very well captured! It's a good one!
Awesome shot caughting it in that curious attitude, like it was thinking about doing a sprint (lol) or waiting for something .. Excellent neat portrait So cute ! I love Koala ! ( it's not the subject but it's remembered me the panda video you sent me how I laughed, and laugh again !!) Great work, Wendy !! q:)
