Description
G'day.
This is a photo of an old ship wreck at Phillip Island (southn east of melbourne).
Its known as the Speke and was wrecked in 1906.
Only the bow and a few bits of metal sheets are left.
Cheers
Lou

Fantastic photo. Bravo!
Very nicely captured, I like your POV, this would look nice framed & hanging on the wall, the red rust looks great against the black rocks Stuart
That is indeed quite a wreck. Love the texture. The rust look amazing against that blue sky. Beautiful compo Louise. #:o)
I hope you took more.Old rust and texture makes great photos. What you have in the frame is a nice crop.
Excellent composition and I love the textures of the rusted metal and rocks. So now we know - leave any iron metals near the sea, and they disappear after 100 years. LOL Well captured!
love this type of shot, old and rusty. great colours and textures....fab
Excellent work! Love the subject!
Oh yes, I like so much this style of texture and with your color of sky it's so more a pleasure for my eyes !!! :)
The ruggedness of the terrain and the starkness of the rusted metal of a long ago ship makes a wonderful image! Great! Karen :)
Once proud... Great capture and crop and the colors are just amazing. Bravo!
A very dramatic composition with a lot of history involved.
Interesting. Quite like it.
I love it !
Great photo, love the capture. It saddens me a little to see the remains of a ship, for one that drifted and glided over the water in a graceful way to be on the rocks.
a lovely vertical capture
Awesome shot! Love the contrasting colors and your compo is perfect! I'd love to get out to some of the islands here SIGH but it's not gonna happen for a few years to come ;) Thanks for sharing your wonderful work! Hope you are keeping well there.
Great shot and POV for this sheet of metal. It seems a modern sculpture... Who could tell us the story of what it was before ?
Love it.
Great shot.
