Description
...I was looking out the front door yesterday morning for more birds on the porch when this little fellow came by. After he got himself a drink, he sat in one spot and proceeded to look all around, surveying all four directions of his little world. If I had opened the door, he would have run off, so I just snapped these through the glass. I look east when I look out the front door, so that's the image of just his back.
And to answer your questions from yesterdat, yes, these are current shots, not old ones, and yes, I have some stray cats around, too, that ruin a perfectly good set up by chasing my prospective shots away! Right after this, two cardinals, male and female, landed on the porch rail not five feet from the front door, side by side, perfect pose. But could I get to the camera.....noooooooo(!!!!).... cuz I had the camera hooked up to the pc, and it was right in the middle of transferring all the shots I had already taken!! Arrrghhh! Have you ever lost a good shot cuz you were futzing around with the camera in one way or another??? :))
Thanks very kindly for looking and thanks so much for your generous comments on my previous stuff. I appreciate it. I know you're going to get tired of the same old stuff, but there's not much to shoot this time of year, and I haven't gotten out and about lately. Thanks for stopping by... Maria

Very cute & inquisitive little one, with the animals that came to your front porch, I don't think I'd have that door closed & my camera permantly set up. Stuart
have you thought about a usb device to transfer from your card so you free up the camera. they are very inexpensive. very cute varmint but they are destructive
Nice collage and good idea for a presentation! Bravo!
thanks for answering queston, like this series of shots shows his character of nicely (must be a male as female's will be at home in the warm under the duvet) lol
Lovely work! The horizon indications are fantastic too!
Fantastic photos and a most beautiful presentation. Lovely work indeed!!
Wonderful shots, especially for shooting through your window!! I think he's up to something...casing the place... so you better be on your toes 'cause he's probably got a gang! LOL
sweet :)
Aw i'd love to tickle his little ginger tummy!!
Wonderful shot from your door, he is a cutie. I'm not so sure about him running off, it looks to me like he's hamming it up for your camera in a few of those shots! Fabulous captures and presentation!!
Really amazing... like it so very much !
Great presentation. Cute little fellow. Seems to be making sure there are no cats around to bother him.
Lovely sequence!
LOL! That is the cutest thing I've seen! Excellent captures. It pays to be patient and maybe this was worth missing the cardinals? :0)
this made me laugh...thankyou...wonderful presentation...almost like he/she was getting ready to cross the street looking all ways before proceeding! LOL Great shots.
Great shots of this squirrel. And yes, I am constantly missing shots because I'm doing something else with the camera. I tend to leave it on the tripod and stashed in the living room so I can grab it when I head outside. This does nothing for those shots that require flexibility and instant action...! Or I'll be setting the camera for a shot I've planned out for some time and along comes some fantastic spur of the moment thing that you only see once in a lifetime and I can't unadjust my settings fast enough. And to top that, the shot I'm working on ends up as a big blur anyway so I miss BOTH photos! LOL
Lovely work and Great how turn around looking his space. Great shoots

Another adorable and beautiful photo series my friend......!!!! Wonderful work....!!!!
Nice capture
Their cuteness alwasy make for a good photo but the clarity and poses as well as the arrangement and presentation makes for an excellent display.
Great concept and beautifully executed!!
Awwww...There he is again! Today there were some beautiful Blue Jays in our yard. I know alot of people don't like them because they are mean. They chase away other birds...but how can someone not like something so beautiful? They looks like blue cardinals. Thanks!
Suberb work, Marie. He is a little charmer!! Your presentation id fantastic. Hugs. Di.
Superb capture of this little fellow, bravo!
