What an imposing building that was in its heyday. Fascinating to see the comparisons.
The ruin of the Dungeness looks really fascinating! Beautiful to see how the plants are covering the stone walls! What a wonderful place here! Is it still Cumberland Island! I guess so! Thanks for this fabulous photo series you have posted in the past here!!!
Fascinating indeed! I like how you've framed the view with spanish moss and tree limbs. Very beautiful!
Impressive and beautiful ruins, very well captured. I like the POV and the natural framing. An excellent shot!!

A striking poem with a ring of truth. Very apt for this composition of the ruins skeleton very well presented.
Impresive and interesting! Super capture!*****!
Even though the photo you linked to was tiny, you can still see what a beautiful building it once was.Though now a ruin,it still retains it's air of grace and romance.Wonderful work,Kortalouche. You did a great job 'capturing' it's atmosphere.-M :^)
wow, fantastic!!!
ITs hectic to see what it looked like in its PRIME!!! Lovely shot! The branches hanging in front makes for a great frame! 8;o)
Beautiful shot, must be grand place in its time, still wanderful!
Nice picture...But this is to tell you I love your Avatar! Christmas feels like I'm getting dumped on this year, so I can really relate to your logo.
Provocative Avatar - but funny nevertheless. For your pic? Bravo - very well composed and executed. The muted colors support the mood. A shame of having Buildings like that and not attempting to bring them back to their former glory!
Excellent POV and depth:so wonderful render!
A path lead my eyes to this ruins in a big opening ...how cool is that! ( Hope you went closer to the ruins, I am interested )
I bet there were some great parties at this awesome old ruin, BTW I dig your new avatar as well ! ~Cheers~ :o)
Superb - not sure if its your text or the tone of the photographs but there is a real sense of another world in this series :)
I seen this place on tv once. the opulence and grandeur is mind boggling. stunning capture
I like how the trees frame the picture and the road leads your eye right to the mansion...
Superb capture of the end of the Cumberland odyssey. Okay, you entered a time warp and ended up right after the Civil War taking a photo of a building awaiting razing. The Yankee artillery really did a number on the edifice. Left the grounds in pretty good shape though. And, what is that palm tree doing there? I didn't know those grew in Mississippi.
The green vegetation around this ruins give it life. Excellent .. Aloha
wow what a lovely place this is
Interesting shot. Great.
As always, a wonderful quote to accompany your outstanding photo S hugs
sic transit gloria mundi.... all in one fine shot!
Would love to venture inside.... Nice.
