Description
Inspection!
Two members from the USS Cumberland inspect parts of the rear section of the crew quarters and spine section during the long trek towards Saturn. The model was created in Bryce from scratch including the astronauts. All concepts and designs by me.
Thanks again for taking the time to view and comment on my work. More to come soon!!!
Cheers,
David

Great models wonderfull scene ^^
Excellent work, David. I loved how you snuck in a little ambient light to reveal a little detail in the shadows. This image really shines when you open the full size.
You've done a phenominal job on this one! I can only gasp in admiration of your skills. Fantastic job with what you had to work with. The level of detail in the zoom-in view is not to be missed! Truly an excellent render! Bravo! Well done!
Outstanding work !
Incredible ... !!! .... well done.
Really Nice there
hey, if you've got Bryce 6, you can now assemble these and export them as meshes...hint hint..;) (hey, you could even make some buckaroonies with it..;) great work as usual..
Don't you get tired of creating perfection everytime? Fabulous as always.5
First I would like to thank everyone for their continue encouragement. You guys really make me want to strive to get better! It is much appreciated. Pakled you asked if Ive used Bryce 6 yet and the answer is yes. Ive also tried to convert a few of my ships including the Shenandoah but, for some reason after conversion it has removed much of the detail. I dont know if this is a bug or what. If at some point in the future Im able to convert my models you may just find one for sale but, until then Ill just keep working to see if this problem can be resolved. Cheers, David
nice model!!!!
very close to looking like a real space scene, congrats!
Thats a sensational bit of modelling - such incredible detail!! Also, the lighting really shows if off to full advantage - its very realistic! Thanx for sharing your hard work - always impresses me to see models like this built from scratch!! Very well done!
Your builds are always fasinating!
Exceptional work and detail.
Awesome modeling David. You just got yourself a new fan!!!
What 'makes' this piece for me is the angle of light, which manages to promote both dimension and atmosphere (or as the case may be in space - the lack of it!). In the movie '2001', the absolute darkness of the space-'backdrop' conveyed an immense sense of emptiness and danger. Surely the navigation of space has to be one of mankind's most risky endeavours. This is one of your best pictures in my opinion
A superb model, and excellent render!
