Description
Greetings everyone. Thanks again to those who participated in my little film trivia quiz/rendering called "Alone". I'm glad to see that "The Quiet Earth" (the film upon which that rendering was based) has a good following.
And now for something completely different - more experimentation. For this Poser 6 rendering I decided to seriously attempt subsurface scattering. I've tried using this technique before but have always found that the skin lights up like a HeNe tube in the rendering. This time though, I decided to switch the Fastscatter Attentuation to Strong (from its default setting), this seemed to make the skin less glowy. I'm convinced though that there is some pitfall in using SSS of which I'm still not aware. If anyone has any ideas please feel free to comment on this rendering.

'fraid I've only just got my first copy of Poser so I'm still reading the manual. I have no idea what a Fastscatter Attentuation is. Nice pic though :)

This portrait is again another excellent artwork from you. I never use SSS, far to much hassel... having said that the end resaults are good.
A lovely render. You are well ahead of me with Poser to get results like this. She looks as though she has an inner glow.
