My brave friend Terry pokes his walking stick into the lava. It instantly ignited and burned on contact. Terry could hold the stick only for a few seconds as the heat was to intense. Terry was cooking alright! Aloha and thank you for viewing

It looks like you need some pretty good footwear before you go doing this kind of stunt. It must be a pretty impressive sight to see in person, closest I've ever gotten is from the "Discovery Channel. Neat shot!!!

Yes CavalierLady, the soles of Terry's shoes was melted. When I called Terry to comeback where I was, he crossed over the lava flow connected to this ooze. He did tell me he need new shoes as his soles were melted. As for me taking a poke into the hot lava with a stick? Yes I have before but not on this shoot. Thanks for asking. Aloha
