Oh! Richard!! Superb shots, for sure! I love these carvings.. I have a carved dolphin made from Lignum Vitae. The hardest wood in the world. Thank you for this link.. I shall look at it. I shall also take a shot of my wooden lignum vitae dolphin for you and your friend.. I promise. Happy hugs. kiss for Friday.. just :-) Di...
Very nice, really looks like it took him some time! 8-)
Oh they are beautiful!!! I love these type of art in wood!!! I know the work that goes into this!!! Beautiful!!! Thanks for the link! These would be a dandy xmas present!!
wow those are super looking stuff he made. The photos do them honors.
You just can't beat real wood!!!
They say everything is bigger in Texas so I guess a 'whale' bird is appropriate. WINK. Superb shot and work!
Wow - what awesome finish in these little wooden critters. Amazing talent your friend has. And you capture them well with a warm glow - you made them seem soft wan warm somehow!
are beauty and looks interesting - I have a few in the same style from Africa- yes wood is fantastic
Magical craftsmanship, I really love old hardwoods and this is a great example of what else you can do with it besides building houses or furniture ! Cheers
Beautiful sculptures!!!!!
these a wonderful Richard, very beautiful and they look so silky and smooth, excellently done*******both of you :)
Looks like laminate to me. What is an "exclusive" hardwood? A company is now raising old logged stock, preserved by the cold and lack of oxygen, from the bottom of Lake Michigan. Cartoon characters in hardwood are still cartoon characters. Eskimos do it in rock, and their work is not cartoonish.
Stunning!!
A very talented friend! These are beautiful!
Excellent shot of this rather beautiful wooden bird. Your friend is very clever.
