Description
Tweak, tweak, fiddle, fiddle.... oh, HEY, that's it!
This is more what I was going for, sort of a tunnel effect..
Widened the angle on the lens, moved the camera.
This is what I wanted! Sort of like the eye of a huricane.
Same as before, 1024 crows, all done in Bryce, no post.

It's this seamless quality that makes a great animation. Extremely economically and stylishly done too in monochrome. Ominous. Can't help but think of old Hitchcock. This is just his cup-a-tea :-)
Both have strongpoints: THERE the quackiness and bravado of croses and caws, HERE the smooth funnel of turkey vultures or buzzards circling the sun, but, with an elegant and pathetic (in the root sense) reversal, definitely LOOKING DOWN while the viewer LOOKS UP, hehe. Why stop now....

A Swirrling vortex of crows--scary ?--no just think of them as crows in a blender....soon we'll have crow-tein shake !
Kinda tends to pull me into it. Hypnotic anyway. I recall the most interesting formation of birds were the Starlings I saw while living in the California wine country of Sonoma county. They would swoop about in a coordinated cloud that was very fascinating to behold.
