Ultrafractal 4.03
I've been going nutz over Joe Pressley's (joefraq) neat "geofractals" and have about BarneyJockIII'ed my brains out to get something decent in that style out of that formula. So here's one for my fractallin' dawg, Joe, influenced by his AMAZING "Fraq de Florence". I went for a vibe sorta like going under a bridge in a gondola. Hope the texture layers aren't a distraction - I want to make prints on canvas and so try to give a painted look to some of my stuff. I also have an untextured version and a "poster" version because I want to be a working artist when I grow up. :-)

Sorry - I didn't have them remove it or tell anyone. Must have been somebody else who visited maybe told an Admin? Feel free to repost your critique - not sure I even disagree with some of it. Maybe if you had added some suggestions to improve it, they might have let it stay? Shoot, I've even had one called a "pile of poop" - got a laugh out of it. Rick
Man, oh Man you're miles ahead of me with this formula! WAY cool column and I like both the way you've used the lake effect and the painterly central brown areas. You AND Joseph rock!
Wow! This one is way cool. Love the solid brownish mass in the lower right-centre. It binds the composition together - but everything works in an understandable (to the layman) way. I suspect you've already seen it, but for Venice peep at some of Jinet's manipulated photographs. Some of them are immense. For one of the outer islands (Burano) try Ikarius (April of this year). Cliff.
