AlooooooHa!
Took a walk at the local zoo today and concentrated on the flowers and trees that were there instead of the caged animals. This palm looked kinda interesting resting in the shade...anywho here it is. I'm not even sure what type it is, but the light hitting the branches caught my eye...I must be losing it!
A million Mahalos for all the feed back left on my last few posts, it's always quite inspiring to get such great feed back...keeps me going! Peace out everyone! Aloha!

New type of study huh? Kewl. Just been there and I never thought of the plants. Such an excellent idea. Beautiful portrait. Aloha
Watch out! It's the artichoke from Hell! And you call my posts scary... ;^P Just kidding. This is a wonderful textural and shape study, and a part of the plant most of us wouldn't focus on. It is definitely one of those shots that we as photographers see and want to explore. Wonderful stuff Dave, especially in these muted colors! Aloha!
Looks 3D and really good.
Amazing detail and texture in this close shot. We sometimes forget to look at the things right in front of us. Glad you looked and shot this.
Dynamic shot.
Very interesting compo. leafs in the background look like a fan :-) Good job.
it's the genre of detail of I like very much!!! well done my friend !!! Good day and hugs ;)
"Look until you see" is my favorite self quote and it really applies here. Dave, you always "see" the beauty around you and have the technical skills to capture it, then the creative talent to make a pleasing visual presentation. Frameable art!
simple... but effective.. an aspect of nature we simply ignore..
I've never looked at one closely either - should have, tho! This is great, Dave. The texture, the dappled surface, the light, all make for such a visual presentation.
Ohhhhhhhh!!!! I like it!!!! LOL! I know just what you mean about losing it!!!! I find myself doing that alot these days, going for one thing and finding something else more interesting....... distracting even!!!!! I say "go with it"!!!!
Very illustrative looking...great capture and perspective on this shot.
Great piece! Excellent study +++
I like a silvery shade of this palm tree.
