Great comments! The silhouette is that of our friend who set off the fireworks. Wendy suggeted that he pose in front of his "Handi-work". I like how it turned out.
Brings back some memories. When I was a kid 4th of July was one of my favorite holidays. I loved setting off the fireworks in the street. Also I used to trim off a portion of the fuses to save for my pipe bombs which I would construct later. Ah, the joys of childhood.

The middle one reminds me of the original "The Thing" movie with James Arnes as the creature. Cool shots, all! And I must say, I'm glad I'm an American.

Cool shots Eric.I have to say,I could never get so close to take these.I'm paranoid about fireworks because of my husband.As a young boy,he lit a faulty bottlerocket,(I think it was),and it went crazy and boomeranged back at him.Blew up right in his stomach...poor thing.So now I don't trust fireworks.Anyway,love the middle pic and glad to see you had a safe and happy fourth.Sorry for the late comment.Have a great rest of your week,my friend.-M :^)

Hey, thanks for sharing your fireworks! :-D By the time I got off shift it was too late to go to any. And like most things, private fireworks are illegal in Massachusetts. :-( So thanks again, Eric. You saved my holiday. ;-)
