Description
Well, here you go. My first upload in more than a week. And it's a fucking flower shot. As cliche as it gets, eh? And to add to the cloying sappiness I decided to kiss three asses at once with the dedications. Wonderful.
But I really felt like it. I took the shot a couple of days ago and thought for a long time about posting it, but what's the point of yet another addition to the ten-billion-strong army of flower shots on this site? What makes mine so special? Then I saw claudialee's "Bleeding Hearts" and realized that it doesn't matter if it's cliche as long as it's good. Hey, at least I didn't put a pretentious border around the edges.
Also, the reason I included jinet and tofi is because they are simply amazing photographers who's talent I'll probably never even touch, and I felt like making them feel appreciated. It'll probably be a long time before I upload again (inspiration for some reason completely dried up) so I'll see you in time and remember, if you ever need help, just ask the Big Red Cat. He'll know what to do. Bye!

ooooh, excellent flower for our friend!!! Very pretty this one.. Bravo!!! hugs
Really a fantastic dedication!!!!Splendid shot!!bravo!V:DDD.Hugsxx
Thanks for the dedication ! You basically made a nice shot with nice colors. What can be improved ? I would advice you to crop a bit the right side of the photo because there is a blanc area that disturb the eye from the main subject of the photo. At the same times, the new crop would center the attention on the flower. For the rest, good handle of your camera. May I encourage you to put a (non-pretentious) border on your photos ? The framing is useful and is often part of the composition. You can use it to enhance the perception of the photo in a way suitable to the subject (for exemple, a large black border make the photo looks like more contrasted, a gray one makes it look more soft, a blanc border is suitable to pastel tones and so on). Thanks again for the dedication. Have a good time !
Excellent shot. Beautiful flower.
O, so gorgeous!! Beautiful shot!!
I hope you upload something soon, don't keep us hanging. Wild irises are tough to shoot, usually because they are growing in water (at least around here). This one is well captured! Take that cam of yours and just go around and shoot things...inspiration will come.
One of the most sensual and lovely flower, with a gorgious color too. Je (Jinet) is right about the crop, but it's a wonderful shot anyway ! Nice dedi for our friends ;o))) Have a nice day !
