Description
Taken in Las Vegas on May 12th 2006. I had walked by these two Mexican kids and decided not to be lazy so I turned back to capture the moment. I showed them the picture on my view finder and their eyes lit up. I offered to email them the shot but they spoke no english and I am unfortunatley unable to speak spanish. I thanked them and then walked away feeling a bit sad.
The opulence of Vegas shines in the back-drop while the subjects of the image are obscured in shadow. For me, the juxtaposition of the technical elements of this image parallel a deeper social meaning. I guess further elaboration is not needed.
This image was taken moments after my "Sin City Sustenance" shot

Exceptional capture, with fascinating light. I like the crop too. Have a great one. #:O)
Same as the above comment. The thumb is what drew me to open this. Lesson learned on a shot you almost didn't take.
great foto, vote.
Excellent composition. Great contrast between forground and back. I love the symetry and light in the back in contrast with the two people. Their casual poses and mood are perfect. This is the real deal and what I look forward to from you. It's a keeper! KP
this really is an amazing shot. the lights outshine the ppl who keep them running and they are all just a littl ebored of it all... Fantastic!
Wonderful colors and composition. This is a really good piece of street work, young man :D
