Getting back to doing some 2D images. I was watching Bram Stoker's Dracula the other day and was reminded what an amazing actor Gary Oldman is. So I thought I would paint his portrait :)
I am trying to get the painted look to my work, Its hard for me to stop adding details to my images. Hopefully I got it right this time :)
I didn't do the work in progress images this time. I have felt run down lately and even doing those seemed to take away from the relaxing painting.
Ill do them again next time :)
Painted in Photoshop with Wacom Intuos 2 Tablet.
Thanks for looking and all comments are greatly appreciated :)

BRAVO!! You have done a perfect job on this one.. He is just spot on! Fantastic!!
I wish I had your patience and your eye for detail to paint!! Hopefully with your new floral pack I will!! Awesome work!! v
Excellent likeness. You've captured the character exceptionally well!
such a big fan, really love your details but you build a foundation to put them on!excellent!
Am I ignorant? I know not the guy, but love this picture. Our Mr Ismbard Kingdom Brunel (I live in Bristol UK) would have been after the hat. Just a question, is the brooch right? It must be for you are a perfectionist. Oh yes: it makes a nice abstract pattern too - the hat, the glasses, and the symmetry of the shoulders.
Looks just like him...WOOOOOOOOW...You are ever so impressive...I keep waiting for it to rub off on me hehee :O) The details in this are perfect really and I just love the detail and I am a huge fan of Gary's...love him in almost anything so I am just really in awe of how perfect you get these portraits...I can tell right off without you ever saying who they are...GORGEOUS SWEETIE!! V :O)
Amazing creation and splendid postwork....!!! V
Utterly Fantastic!
As always, I am amazed by your talent. You've done an excellent job of capturing this character and the details are outstanding. While it's always nice to see how you work your magic with the progress images, the important thing is that you relax and enjoy your wonderful gift. I hope you feel better very soon! Take care! =)
Your talent never ceases to amaze me. One of the reasons why I like Poser so much is because I absolutely sucked at doing people. To be able to have the talent to produce something like this is a gift and a blessing. You need to be featured in a magazine, if you haven't already. This also is special to me as I have a fondness for vamps and I loved that movie. And you're right, Gary Oldman is a spectacular actor! I have no more adjectives to describe how good this really is. Bravo. V

Awesome painting Gina! I love his eyes!
I don't know much about these methods but it looks good to me. I find if I copy from a photo I tend to get that photo look maby you should copy from a painting, you will have to try one of mine then you may get that painted look. Just a thought Gina
