I thought they were born with tufts?

Because humans sweat, they have a niche in the noon day sun on the savannah. On the other hand, I was once with a Maasai driver who found it amusing to provoke a male sitting somewhat like this in the shade under a small tree. I learned something very interesting--a real lion's roar in the wild has a physiological dimension that carries directly into the chest cavity, and whatever one's mental equanimity, has its effects....Incidentally it was an open vehicle, and a male like this can move five hundred pounds laterally with a flick of the paw.....

I assume the tuft is supposed to be present on the 3d model of this lion but doesn't render? I might try using the clone tool to Photoshop some of the mane into the tail. I probably wouldn't like the way it turned out, and I'd end up deleting it. But that's what I'd try.

Excellent pant. You even got the chest cavity to rise. If you can see the tuft in the wireframe but not the render, go into the material editor and check to make sure that the transparency slider is not at 100...or there is a button in the transparency row. You may also click on the down triangle next to the texture window and select normal.

Perhaps his tail was bobbed a bit during a barroom brawl! lol! Excellent animation; the pant looks perfect!

I'd be lion if I said I didn't like it...lol..love the chest expanding in sync with the panting. This lion can't be king of beasts until he gets that tuft on his tail..you'll figure it out.
