Description
An image produced for Mark Mayers (aka zboyi) as one of 8 A5 postcards showcasing the metalFX print process that he has been commissioned to promote (see recent posts in his gallery www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=1192298&Start=1&Artist=zboyi&ByArtist=Yes). It was great to be asked to contribute and to work with such a talented artist/designer.

More fabulous work! I love the retro look (especially the work mittens). The colors are suitably clean and uncomplex, which expertly evokes the old-school feel of the work. My one problem with the composition is the position of the dark tail fin on the rocket. For me, it just seems to form a very harsh "wedge" which frames the guy adjusting the surveying equipment. I can't help but wonder how it would look if you rotated the rocket so that the fin would affect the composition if it were rotated more toward the light (making it a bit lighter). Of course, I'm just nit picking as usual -- you know I love your mock covers!

Mike, many thanks for contributing to my project, this is an excellent image and in my opinion turned out one of the best images in the finished brochure. It really shows the concept of 'Exploration' and worked exceptionaly well with the metallic print process. Many thanks again ;)
