Description
Mount St. Helens shot from Portland late on a December afternoon. This was when she was still steaming. She's quieter now, for the moment.
Thanks for stopping by and any comments. Hope everyone has a great week.

A marvelous photo!
very impressive!
Incredible capture of atmospheric effects! the haze, the colors, the lighting on the mountains... Excellent!!
Wow, impressive capture, Dennis! From what distance did you shoot this one!? Appears to me quite a long range! Stunning work! :)
In answer to Jan-Carel's question, I would guess that I was about 50 miles (80 km) from the mountain. Equipment was a Canon 10D with a 300 mm lens, equivalent to about 480 mm on a full-frame camera.
Impressive and spectacular !
This is a great shot, Dennis. I'm looking forward to some sunny days so we can see the mountain again. I miss seeing it during the winter months.
My, you did get a great shot of it! Very impressive.
Beautiful colors! This looks like a very long shot...interesting haze. Great capture of the ribbon of smoke.
