Description
Matronaut Jane and her Mars Rover 6 crewmates have made rendezvous with the "Spirit of Hellas." They will receive supplies from the larger vehicle, but first they will take a few days off to get a little rest and relaxation. Jane is the single runner on the right. Along with a couple of off-duty Hellas crew, she is getting some running done. In the small vehicle, in which she spends most of her time, there are a couple of exercise machines and a couple of potted plants but that is about all, so there is nowhere that she can run (other than in place) except when on one of the large mobile villages, such as the Hellas, or when she is attached to one of the larger permanent settlements.
The Hellas's "park" isn't very big, but it is the closest to trees, bushes, and grass that she will be for another two Martian months (roughly four of Earth's). After her run, she will go to the shower, then meet up with some old friends for lunch.

I think what I enjoy most about this series is just how real you make it sound. Its almost like its the stuff of today, instead of tomorrow, and I'm wondering "where to I sign up" for my ticket to Mars!
I like the hole SF idea, great model i see a lot of time spend on this. Beautiful done.
a lot of nice ideas in this !
Great image and pov.
You are a wonderful artist!
would they hook the smaller vehicle on the rear and tow while the crews are on R&R or does another crew take it for a spin? Would need some champion air scrubbers for 22 sweaty bodies ... OUTSTANDING work.
Good question, Dwayne. Actually, they can carry up to four the the MR6s, if they have to, but it doesn't happen very often. Most of the time, a maintenance crew takes over the MR 6 and refurbishes and does preventative maintenance on them, so they just roll alongside. However, they sometimes will couple another MR4 to the Hellas, much like a couple of diesel engines. Most of the time, they would just accompany each other instead of hooking up together. Depends on the terrain and what the particular mission is.
Your Mars series is one of my favourites, well chosen POV an this one ..very dramatic Superb work on the dust stirred up by the wheels
Excellent lighting ***** Beautiful character and scene ***** Excellent work ***** ((V))
