Description
The Royal Hawaiian Hotel in Pink and all its palm trees in the background. Paradise lost forever to a concrete jungle. Sad isn't it? Aloha and thank you for viewing.

I hate this type of beaches - you see it also f.i. in Spain...
Great shot all the same. I know what you mean, it is very sad. A few years ago we visited Majorca where on the south coast theres 50Km of coatal villages and little ports been wiped out by horrible high rise development, hotels and clubs etc. ....spoiled forever.
looks like South Beach. excellent capture of a beautiful place
Amazing to see the pink "doll" houses next to the tall modern buildings ! Well seen and captured, Errol ! :~)
Jolie photo d'un paysage futuriste, belles couleurs !
Great shot. Love the pink hotel....too bad it's surrounded by all those ugly concrete boxes.
Fantastic capture of the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. I had the pleasure of walking through this Hotel and see its inner splendore while staying at the Hali Koa eight years ago. A very beautiful and wonderful place.....all class. Accolades!!!!!
Impressive ! And right with gwfa... this is terrible. Excellent photography !
Big business is the step before pollution, as it started from undiscovered, discovered, explored, settled and here crowded! :( Somehow people tend to connect into a high concentration, beyond my limited comprehension! Wonderful capture to illustrate this, Errol!
Lost in paradise or lost paradise? that is the question!
One of the many reasons I moved from this island to the Big Island..too many people, too many buildings, too much comercialism. I need more room than this island offers...splendid shot none the less of the beach at Waikiki! Aloha!
I concur with Punaguy. Great shot though. Never saw it from this view before. Aloha
lm with Gwfa.. awww errol its so sad these gorgeous beaches are used for cheap commericalism.. paradise lost..but remember according to milton paradise was regained... yep.. so reminds me of the costa del sol..spain.. ekkkk!!!... and some tatty british resorts..yeah lm a snob !!! the world turning into vagas !!!, three places l,ve been told never to Holiday in...costa del sol.. spain in general unless up north, orlando florida..and anngus mentions the 3rd !!! but gorgeous p'graphy...:))))) excellent
Great shot Errol! But I wont go there for holidays, even if the hotel is beautiful! I prefer your desert volcanoes! Have a nice week-end!
Another case in point for Maui!!!!!!!! Glad you showed us so we can avoid that place!!!!! Have a great weekend Errol!!! Aloha!!!!!!
look like the pink is there to be. bet that was a lovely breach at one time.
A beautiful capture anyway. You would never know it was an Island.
Lost to human endevours:):)..
yep, and I can imagine staying in the pink is more fun than those new fangled towers of concrete, steel and glass! []/;^)
Wow,thats some view, terrible on the crowding and the loss of nature, but still a pretty place.
What a stark contrast to the other buildings. Very cool capture.
That's an amazing angle from which you took this shot. Maybe a low flying helicopter? Can't figure it out! Cool!
