Description
This started out as a practice for an ice tutorial. I got carried away and really had fun making this. It fits perfectly for the winter season here so I thought I'd share.

A little PSP7 to add people in the balloons and fluff up the animal fur and feathers. I also saturated this one but have an unsaturated version elsewhere. I like the rich blue of the sky in this but now the bear doesn't look quite so cuddly. The thumb is without saturation.

WHOaaaAAaaaAAA!!! Amazing!!!! Goes to my Favs.
Oh yes! The ice is fabulous!! Looks painted! Love the Polar Bears pose!! The ballons are the perfect addition!! Bravo!!
Hot air ballooning in the Polar regions!???! Tres cool! In Webster's dictionary: the word 'Blasphemy (n): One who is a creator/destroyer of worlds. Your art is a good example of that deffinition, Nancy. Bravo!!!! Big V too!
Ooooooh & aaaaaah ... very well done. I love the unique way you've composited this wonderful wintry scene. Excellent! V
A cool image that freezes the eyes up-on its beauty. Your image brings forth the brightness of winter truly...Bravo!!!...:))
Actually, the intermission is the bear stopping to look at the improbable balloons while looking for food :) Not so cuddly anymore, lol.
Nope, it's food in a ballon for the bear !!! the over saturated colours have made this render look more cartoon-ish, BTW I think the ice & water textures are too simular, maybe less reflection on the snow and more blue for the water ? just a suggestion, this is a really kool pic, pardon the pun !!! Huggles & Cheer's :o)
I really like this. Great job on the ice too.
All you need now is a bottle of coke for the wee animals to share! Excellent work!
A wonderful winter scene :) I love the bear
Reminds me of an old far side cartoon of two polar bears eating igloos. Hard crunchy outside soft chewy inside. Great pic.
how wonderful, amazingly beautiful landscape with these cute animals, love the poses, excellent art work NancyV
Great job.:)
Terrific ice and snow...not the easiest thing to achieve in Bryce! Kudos to you!! Love how the polar bear and penquins are looking up at the hot air balloons...Marvelous work!!

Fabulous work, Nancy. Perfect for the season. Very well done!
Great scene.
This is totally fabulous. Great work technically, but also has loads of charm :o) Love ya Nancy! Your Number One Fan xxx
Beautiful winter scene, great job!
Besides the great technique, the intent carries perfectly, it could be a whole chapter's story in a single image. Might make a killer cubic panorama, too.
Very cool! I love the sense of vastness!
Fantastic atmosphere and lighting. The ice looks very good. Polar bears and penguins? This is not a National Geographic image for sure. 8-) Great scene, anyway.
Hey! You've got to use some imagination here, lol!!! If someone would make a cute, little cuddly seal pup, I'll pepper the scene with them, mwahahahahahaha!!!
wonderful fun and adorable image of these pengiuns and polar bear~!
