Well... after all the postings from face_off on Miki... I had to give it a go....
Wasn't easy... used Tamelas' textures rather than the base ones that come with Miki and did a little test...
Same lights... same everything, except one has RSS (Real Skin Shader) and one does not...
Which do you think brings out the Miki in me...

I prefer from far "without". I would like "with" if it was appplied at, say, 25 or 30% intensity of what it is on the "with" image now, not more than that. But it is just my opinion... matter of personal taste. really. Thanks for the comparison! :D
They are both beautiful, the realism in the top one is great, but the bottom one is just as beautiful.
Wonderful work on both portraits :) I qould choose the second one because it looks more than an Asian face... Maybe some less freckles on the first one and it would be the perfect combination :)
Well for me both are excellent, I use RSS for realism scene and without for fantasy scene, for exemple a too real fairy, lack of magic and a portrait is better, maybe, with RSS.
As already said, both are terrific but my own preference would be for the top one!

Well Deane that's a difficult topic... "with" for me is a little bit to strong... love "without" but think a middle way will be perfect... Both are excellent done!!!

definately the one with the realskin shader!!! Miki alone has a plain texture - I was very disappointed with her. However, you have made her look beautiful!!
They're both gorgeous - the above one is more realistic, but as far as "look" goes, i like the bottom one more. Why? No answer that i can think of, just instinct... ;)
Well it looks to me like the difference between model with and without make up lol, but that's just me.. both still gorgeous though

I agree with Kharum, nice but too many freckles/moles. Her lips even have freckles/moles.
Lovely face. I prefer "with", though perhaps the shader could be applied with less intensity.
