Description

We went out to Land Between the Lakes a couple of weeks ago, and I discovered that what I had always referred to as 'Buffalo' were actually 'Bison'. Thanks to Kimarie, I found out that there was a difference, and I checked the signs. Sure 'nuff. Bison. They are very cool and very BIG! NO DOUBT! I love 'em. What a history.

Wonder if they charge at you when your wearing red? I always heard bulls did that...an old saying don't know if it's true or not but wouldnt want to find out with this fella Nice capture here sis Vote n hugs Your Ky sis Susan~

They are very cool, I live a short distance away from a bison farm and they are wonderful to see! Nice capture!!!

Great shot of this guy. According to the dictionary, the buffalo is the North American Bison. Seems the names are interchangeable.

yeah i walk through the valley and fear no evil cuz im the biggest bugger in the valley he seems to be saying great capture and btw i thought they were buffalo also but dont tell any one :P

beautiful shot i have taken like 30 shots of bison but i like yours the most!! he is a real cutie!!.... i thought they were the same thing too but found out they were not!! ... yesterday i saw an old bison trench coat from the 30s..these guys kept the indians warm and fed ...awesome shot!! sorry so late forgive me!
