A dedi for TEDZ!
A wonderful sunny, cool weekend this past week. We just had to get O U T and look around some more. Back to Locust Point in Balamer, MD. The main attraction there is Fort McHenry of "Jose, can you see?" fame. Before tackling the fort, we are just going to poke around the environs today. Mrs. W. had foot surgery, so we are definitely working with a handicap (or is that a footicap?) as to where we go.
This vessel is just opposite the fort. Not sure what these newfangled merchant ships do for a living. Maybe TedZ can help explain the cranes and this particular type of ship. Only things I noticed were: pretty clean and pretty darn big.
I know there are concrete towers (as in concrete the product) near this particular pier, but that does not seem to be the activity. Also, remember all the shots of Canton district? This is just a few blocks down from where I shot them. Canton continues its 'gentrification' as does Locust Point. We are going to have the promised 'revisit' to the Grain Elevator!
(Whee!)
Also a little side trip to the site of Fort Armistead later on.
(Whee? What? Huh?)
OK. Hang in there mateys. Or we'll avast your timbers and blubber the hatches, etc.
Enjoy; thanks for viewing.
Post work: yeah.... some. Not much worth mention.
