Description

Sorry I haven't posted much lately. I'm up to my elbows in Photoshop every day, so I've been a bit sick of it lately. This is a photo straight out of my sketchbook, so forgive the blur. It's hard to hover over a book and shoot off a decent pic without shaking just a bit :o) This one of those "just for fun" things I do to ease my restless mind. This is from my most private collection, as look at my sketchbook like a diary, and rarely open it for anyone. I started this image a few days ago, and work on it when I get a few moments of silence. It's no masterpece, by any measure, but it is mine. I feel like I've known most of you for ages, and thought maybe... just maybe.. it's okay to relax, breathe deep, and share one secret from my own personal diary :o) Much love, and hugs to all of you - Janey

I say it's good you don't have a scanner :) the blur adds to the "spookiness". :) Excellent hand you have, janey :) I can't stop marvelling :) Well done! and thank you for sharing a little page of your soul with us, my friend :)

I love the character of the lines... how the gnarly bits of root and trunk intertwine and interconnect, how they gracefully describe life... thank you for sharing with us. :o) Big hugs to you!

I like this. :) I can't draw for squat, lol. The shading on this is really nice, it gives a good depth to the image behind it. And I love the gnarled look to the branches. An old tree that's seen many years... :)

A very lovely sketch Janey! Are those candles in the limbs? Clever idea and perfect for the title! Bravo!

The evil face staring out from the dark bit on the left of the tree.... the blur makes it look more smooth and organic - sort of keeps making me think its a bunch of fingers intertwined. Very interesting image - -good stuff :)
