Last week in Santa Fe the annual Indian Market was held..Thousands of native Americans brouoght their artwork to sell.. It was really wonderful to see these proud people presenting their beautiful artwork..some of the best I've ever seen. AsI viewed their work, I couln't help but think what a dark spot on our countries history the way our government treated the original Americans even to this very day. BTW..great pic and series.
i loved reading your write up about the history and wow you ever rember it as a boy!!...yes sad how they were treated... my girls are 1 /16th american Indian as thier great grandma was an indian princess from their fathers side... so i think on such things and have a deep respect for native Americans!!
Excellent photo serial, strong captures

Wonderful dedi for Phillipe, very thoughtful of you!
hidden in the brush, upholding a time & rough way of life run down... fly like the eagle.. we are only visitors here..
Oh yes it is the same here, many lives lost, many live in poor places not house, but in on the ground, in tents, in places like this, and more bad here, and nothin gets done about it, governments not help, and children are always sick and no food, sad, and I understand how it makes you feel, but this serie has been a delite to see, and your last one says lots about the way things are, not only here, but in all the world, Thank you Paul, have enjoy every one of them. Wonderful! *V Lina
I understand people ranting about the 'negatives' that accompany economic development: cultural, ecological etc... But I also never forget that it is this development that allows people to be less poor, that is to have better lives than their parents and to hope that their children's lives will be a little bit better still.
I love your image and your accompanying words. My native American great-great-great grandparents were killed by the white man. People need to finally start understanding what Christianity is all about. It's NOT about killing people in the name of Jesus Christ. It's not about trying to force your beliefs on others. It's about peace, love, and understanding. We just never seem to learn. I simply CANNOT understand people who can kill other human beings. i understand self-defense, but killing in order to obtain land. nope...sorry...that's just RIDICULOUS & HORRIBLE! I'm sure those who wanted to settle here could have done so in peace if they had tried. And there's no reason to try to push religious beliefs down anyone's throat. This is a suject i get REALLY hot about, Paul! I simply don't understand violence! will we EVER learn???? we, as part of the human race, need to start acting more HUMANE!!!!!
Marvellous dedication and I can tell by the comments it has touched the inner feelings of some people. No matter where people come from there is no need for violence :) Cathy xoxoxo
