Description
The water is wide,I cannot cross o'er
And neither have I wings to fly
Build me a boat, that can carry two
And both shall row my love and I.
There is a ship, and she sails the sea
She's loaded deep as deep can be
But not as deep as the love I'm in
I know not how I sink or swim.
Oh love is handsome and love is fine
The sweetest flower when first it's new
But love grows old,and waxes cold
And fades away like morning dew.
The water is wide,I cannot cross o'er
And neither have I wings to fly
Build me a boat that can carry two
And both shall row my love and I.
And both shall row
My love and I.
Traditional folk song origins unknown
This is my all-time favorite song.It has been sung by countless performers, from James Taylor to Charlotte Church. My favorite is by Karla Bonoff.I thought this little pic of a house on a cliff over-looking the tiny hamlet of Pennan,Scotland was just perfect for it.
Hope you like.Have a great day/evening/good night's sleep!See ya!-Marlene :)

Fabulous. There is no other term for it. Moody, rich, green, somber and yet extraordinarily peaceful. Beautiful image.
