Description
If I could live life over again
I would learn to relax and laugh more
And not allow cancer cells to form in me
I would burn my many scented candles
Not put them away for some other day
I would wave and say hi more to people
Improve my listening and writing skills
Invite friends over more often
Even if my carpet has stains
And the dishes in the sink are dirty~
I would cry more during a sad movie
And enjoy things more while watching life
I would buy less material things
And embrace things money can't buy
I would say less
" I am sorry and " I love you more"
Most of all, given another chance at life
I would live every moment to the fullest
And view the world with wide open eyes
And travel life's pathway God created
Allow the past to stay in the past
Savor each day with love and kindness
Just live one day at a time~
The months change with the season
they wither away and then renew each spring
And once again
The Circle of Life
Becomes whole once again~

I don't normally read a lot of the writing here, but the thumbnail caught my attention and this really hits home with me. Very beautiful words and the sentiment couldn't be more true. Though I've never experienced your work before, I'll be sending you hopeful thoughts.
Dear sweet girl, I'm so sorry you have had to go through this and are still going through it. My brother's going through it still and I'm aching for you both. Your poem touches home with me too. You've always been a gifted writer/poet. You're precious to us all dear. I love you.. be well.

Hello old friend, I was so glad to see you had posted again and have kept you in my prayers since before your last surgery...again I keep you in my prayers and thoughts and send much love your way! Beautiful words you have written my friend!
You are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope everything turns ok. Aloha
Oh hun such beautiful poetry - I hope you pull through ok and wish you so many get well thoughts and vibes of love that my heart can hardly hold it S I wish I could do more for you, my friend, but I always pray that it will at least uplift you HUGE HUGS
I'm happy to meet you, too, Susan. I like your poetry. I don't write poetry but I do write. If you look back a little bit in my gallery you can read a short story I wrote. I'm happy you have stayed in remission so long. That speaks well of you kicking it all together. I have a LOT of cancer in my family and have had a number of biopsies in one breast. So even though I am a prime candidate for it, I may just cheat it altogether since I'm already 72. Please keep up your writing and I'll be watching for more art work from you. hugs :)
My sister in law is going thru radiation right now and they hope they have gotten everything in her surgery(breast cancer) ....we have all been praying she will pull thru with complete health..i know what you mean about living life to its fullest always..i wish there was a way to make everyone healthy..i think you may have hit on it in your poem when you said"learn to relax and laugh more and not allow cancer cells to form in my body"but with so much crap going on in the world it is hard for some to laugh and relax...i sure hope they have gotten everything and you have a chance to laugh and relax and get well...i will be thinking the most posative thoughts and sending my best prayers your way....
Dear SIS: the wind will tossell your hair again:The breeze you will feel at night, The sun will warm your thoughts in the morning light: LOve your words and keep them coming for this is one way you will find inner peace for the road ahead: Remember were here for you: PS:I just sent you a important IM please email me ASAP: god bless sis:
God bless you Susan, for what you are having to endure. My heart goes out to you my friend. NEVER give up, is the key, believe me I know all too well. Lovely words my friend. Steve :o)
Nice to meet you too, Susan. In 1981 the doctors were baffled when a 6 inch knife entered my chest at the base of my sternum, it followed the cartilage and didn't touch anything else. It changed my perspective on life to say the least. Humor, Love, and thoughtful reflection has given me insight to how precious each and every moment truly is. Thanks for sharing. Rod (each moment is a sparkle in time worthy of a giggle)
hey girl glad you are back! lovely poem and hang in there ok, am praying for you, god bless, ann

I almost forgot how well you write poetry Susan.. This is most beautiful my dear friend. Wish there was something I could do about your health.. As far as living life over again.. I'm lucky, I wouldn't change a thing (maybe avoid a few pitfalls..lol) I've had a great life and done everything I ever wanted.. I am who I wanted to be.. it's never too late to change into what you want to be.. no need to start over.. Tomorrow is the 1st day, of the rest of your life.. always true.. even if a clich Your in my thoughts and I'm wishing for the best to you and your family. Keep brave and happy.. Hugs from Dave :^) V

Well..here I sit crying. I would so love to copy this poem and share it with other people that could use it. Did you write it? People forget to enjoy life, don't they? I had a poem I would read when my kids were little, "so stay away cobwebs, dust go to sleep - I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep" is all I remember. Thank you for reminding me to enjoy each day. HUGZ!! Jodie vote
i listen to your words and i hear love.
