I'm not very active here and that's not going to change anytime soon. But more than once I wished it would be easier to be active. Usually a forum (on other platforms) is a place for community, news, easy first steps and so on.
Here? You must select 'community', than 'forums' and then? Choose one of 28!
Or open all 28 if you're more interested in a general 'whats going on?'
Then you only see what happened in the last two months.
So although Renderosity offers Poser, today was the first time I visited the Poser forum. Oh, not *the* Poser forum, just 'Poser 13' because all newer versions have their own forum (and the older ones have no place...?).

The forum has no guidance system included that takes you further to things that could be intersting. It feels more like an manual that you must fight your way through when you have a problem. Not where to go if you want community.
I even have to open my email to see if anyone has replied to my posts. No notification option found.

None of this is inviting. And that's a pity.
Sorry for the lack of suggestions. After all, I doubt that a lot of people even found this post :)

Note: It' absolutelly thinkable that points I listed above have been solved/ already existing/ discussed elsewhere. Unfortunately the forum search function was not very helpful.

To see if new activity has occurred in a forum simply press the "Mark All Read" at the top of each forum and it will clear the flag so that if there is no new posts it will be white and if a new post yellow.  Then if you see yellow check it out.  There is also a "Mark as Read" button at the very top which will mark everything read it make it easier.

As far as the older versions of Poser Bondware has only owned Poser since version 11 so there was no need to make a separate forum for the older versions.  Poser 10 and before normally show in just the Poser forum.

When you are on "All forums", you can see the date of the last message, for example Woman 2 message Name followed by a date, but if I go to the Woman forum, sometimes you don't see this message and it's super frustrating and I wonder why it doesn't appear?

The La femme 2 forum sometimes gets spam. You shouldn't be seeing that there is a new message. 

It's possible, but these were messages from people I've been following for quite some time and who often comment on the site.

Unfortunately this is not what I was looking for. Sorry for my unclear description.
I wasn't looking for a trick to make things visible (and it only works if you used it 3 days ago). I wished a forum function that gives me with one click (not 28) the feeling of an invitation: Look, currently others users discuss this ("last new posts" or similar). So you can see on a single page (e.g.) that winners of context X are announced, someone has a suggestion and there is a question about Blender (that you maybe have an answer for).
That is how (I think) **community** should feel.
Unfortunately, today it's more a feeling of "mhh, welcome, sit down or look around. you will find what you're looking for but you have to make a little effort, okay?" More the nerdy-grumpy cliché :) And if this impression is to be achieved everything is fine. Says it and I'll drop the thing (just wonder a little).

You have that. The latest post has a time stamp on it. Recent posts have recent time stamps. This forum is mostly pond water slow though. So, not usually much to report unless the occasional fight breaks out. Mostly, it’s make a post then wait days for a reply, if there is one. Off course, deleted posts show up as the latest post even after deletion, so that’s a bit of a swerve until someone posts something new. The system could be better, but that’s how it is here.

Like I said (and meant :)): If it should look like that, I'm fine with it. I was in a similar forum for a long time (other topic, more technical stuff).
But if it just happened that way, not intentionally, you could change something about it. Without too much effort I guess.
