No the Forum is not going by the way of Bryce if there are some suggestions of topic or information you would like to see please contact me or post ideas of what you want to see and I will look into them and get them posted 

But why would I ask you to do that when I can search YT myself? The point of a forum is for members to have conversations, and that seems to have run off. The last 3 Carrara people are gamely trying to keep their island afloat, and it makes sense. No one has updated Carrara in 13 years. It's neat software, but it's virtually abandoned. Blender is upgraded regularly and has a vibrant, even rabid overall user community. Here? Mostly crickets, sorry to say.

I do try my best to offer and post information and content that would be of relevant information for the community all I sometimes ask if there are specific areas that members want or need info on to give me some input so I can either find or research content to add I will try and do better it does in the end fall on me to keep this forum going. 

I seldom choose to voice openly in forums as generally they amount to being little more than breeding grounds for bullshit, but in this case I will make an exception.

Though I will begin by pointing out that this is not aimed either at Lobo3433 nor just the Blender side of things but the site as a whole.

When you successfully marginalise and piss off your artists by either inaction, poorly chosen actions, ignoring raised issues or in some cases what feels like vindictive action, what do you expect that your users and artists will eventually do?

To give a relative example of what I mean:

When the whole AI thing first arose, while most sites openly banned it's inclusion Renderosity's approach was to do nothing, allowing it to be posted and in abundance, marginalising and pissing off many existing artists to the point that they walked away.

At first this inaction bred a new group of dedicated AI artists who had no home elsewhere, but then after months of doing nothing you banned AI and pissed off those new artists until most walked away.

Then you realised the errors of your ways and allowed it in again, pissing off what little was left until you were left with largely nothing but a spattering of artists whom know that you neither appear to listen or even worse don't actually care at all about what they want or expect from you.

Now you have forums that are largely dead and only fueled by what few active users you have left,

Let's be honest with ourselves here, it's seldom really fueled by admins or mods anymore is it?

Galleries that are barely posted in compared to say two years ago,

Yet you act as if summer hasn't ended and the snow hasn't fallen as ash?

Truly ask yourself if you believe that you actually do much of anything?

If we base your business model upon mine, where it is down to me to write, promote and sell my books, so if they fail that is entirely down to me and me alone!

No matter how little I want to be doing that stuff sometimes, if I want them to flourish, then it is my responsibility and mine alone to make that happen.

Personally, I have a strange affinity for this place, after all this was the breeding ground for what has come to be a career as a published author, yet over the past year I have seen this place all but marginalise myself through the ever warping T.O.S to the point where I can only post 1 out of 10 renders.

This came to the point where I actually questioned myself as an artist but when I was left with such choices I simply asked myself "Why should I bother?" especially when I have no such issues elsewhere, just here, and has one ever arisen there is some means of open discussion whereas in here that decision is enacted in ignorant silence? 

And when given the choice of such restrictive means, I simply ask myself, why should I even bother? When I can openly post my work elsewhere without facing such stupidity and ignorance? 

Frankly you should be ashamed of what you have allowed this site to become.

A place where your users or customers to give them their true name, know you don't really seem to give a single fuck about them.

A site where your competitions that explicitly ban the use of AI are being won by AI?

Worse still is that you either don't realise it or simply don't care?

Or do you hope that it will wash over every artist that see your all but celebratory postings?

So instead of asking why people have left, why don't you go stand in front of a mirror and truly ask yourself if you believe that you have truly done all that you can?

Honestly, have you really done much of anything at all?

Or did you just sit back and think that people would just put up and shut up while you did nothing?

They did put up and shut up, they walked away in silence.

I suspect that when you really look out and back in at yourself, you will understand why in due time a prolonged inexorable demise is all that you can truly come to expect.
