IMO, the right to use is linked to connection to their server from time to time, whatever the version and the OS. Same applies to Poser 11 and Poser 12, so I think that you don't need to worry about this aspect

Sorry if I'm writing here now..but I only discovered this topic on the forum today thanks to one of the members.
I, for now, work on an iMac from a few years ago and, because of the software I installed on it, I never went beyond the Mojave system.
Has anyone of you tried using Poser 13 with the systems you see listed below?

Not really a faith prolem, as Nerd explained here, unfortunately: https://www.renderosity.com/forums/comments/4494165/permalinkI use the latest version of Mac OS and no issues except the usual ones that Poser had always had.
I find the lack of faith that Bondware are showing to Poser on Mac disturbing.

Thank you Y-Phil for your answer!
But, now I've upgraded may mac to the last sonoma and poser13 doesn't work anymore on mac. Maybe I've to install a prallells-desktop win-virtual-machine to use poser on mac in the future or build a ventura version on a extern harddis. (that works on mac with all the long forgotten drivers). The other alternatives were to buy a win-pc or to change to daz (that still works without problems). Are there any advices?
Rendered on my Mini M2 under Sequoia 15.5

Totally useable to create scenes. It's just that I prefer using Win11 as its 40x faster using my 4070...

Heck... even I've given up on macOS. But it was before stumbling onto this news. Having bookshelves filled with Mac games, and not a single one of which I can run on any hardware I've got now. It got to the point of being so depressing that I got my 1st PC in.... I can't even remember how many years it's been...
My own games I make continuously having to be rebuilt and remade to keep running on macOS... so much wasted time. Meanwhile, a PC game I created back in 2004 can still run on your PC today...

I'm glad I stumbled across this thread. I was thinking of upgrading my Poser 12 license to Poser 13, but now I won't bother.
I have a separate license for Poser 11, which works well on my 2022 M1 MacBook Pro with OS 12 (Monterey), and I assume (hope?) that it will continue to work well as long as I don't upgrade the OS beyond 12?

According to the Poser 13 Win/Mac specs at https://www.renderosity.com/marketplace/products/159003/poser-13-windows-and-mac, P13 requires at least macOS 12 (Monterey) with 8 GB system RAM. With that configuration or better, Poser 13 should run for you. No guarantees, of course.
Personally, I'm sticking with High Sierra 10.13 and P11 Pro, since I'd lose too much irreplaceable legacy software I depend upon daily by going higher than 10.13, thanks to Apple's obsoleting more and more stuff with every new OS "upgrade." No wonder Poser's developers have given up on trying to keep up, especially since (I suspect) we Mac users are a niche market for them.
Well, I have poser 11 and poser 2014 on my Mac. I switched over to the new Apple Silicon chips, and Rosetta 2. In Sequoia 15.5. Neither Poser version runs very well. Does poser 13 at least run in Sequoia 15.5, or now, 15.6? If they’re not going to do a poser 14, will they make some effort to get poser 13running when the new macOS 2026 is released? I would buy poser 13 if it would run fairly well on the macOS 2026.
I was going to buy poser 13 a couple of weeks ago, but then I heard all these bad comments about how terribly it is running on Sequoia.
Any advice other than switching to windows or installing parallels? If one does install parallels, does one have to erase the drive in order to do that? Or, could parallels and poser be installed on an external drive?
I don't know about parallels, but Poser can be installed on external drive

You can use renderosity content in daz studio too, but i must admit the smart content is easier to work with for me in DS.
I aim to update it about once a month. Oh, and it's free!
Poser 13 as I understand it works very well in Monterey; I wouldn't try to go higher than that if you want a trouble-free experience. If you can, install Monterey on a separate internal or external drive and then put Poser 13 on it. I'm currently using Poser 11 on a High Sierra drive in my 5,1 Mac Pro tower which has a second drive which will have Monterey installed along with Poser 13 -- and possibly Parallels.
I had hoped that they could take the code for Poser 14 on the PC and using Xcode and maybe an A.I. Claude coder - convert it over to a metal framework for Macs. However, Nerd3D at Poser told me it was not that easy - and I believe him. Don't think that Apple will offer to help on the Poser port over to Metal either - thou I've heard Apple has helped some developers in the past. I have a few intel Macs and one M1 ultra Studio. I will endeavor to continue with Poser for a while longer as I am currently working on a long film using Poser.

This may have been covered elsewhere but I am very disappointed that Poser 14 will be Windows only as that will end my 20 year relationship with Poser and force me into the arms of Daz.
I feel like this is another nail in the coffin of the program. I know it takes resources to support but this means I wont be buying any more poser content from Renderosity and will be migrating to DAZ. I am not a fan of Daz business practices and am reluctant to support them but now I have no option.
This is a huge pity and feels like Poser is slowly dying.
