Subject: Examples of Toon Pro renders with Poser Characters.

I've purchased Carrara 5 Standard yesterday. I've wanted it for years, so I finally fell for the DAZ sale. I'm creating comics with Poser 6, using toon shaders to do so. The comics are for print and they look like the image in the link. I have not puchased Carrara for doing comics at all, but I'd like to do them in Carrara also if possible. I've tried the non realistic rendering options in Carrara but couldn't duplicate the poser rendering effect as done in the image. Now I'm wondering if Toon Pro can achieve the desired result when importing Poser characters into Carrara 5 Standard. Does anyone know if I can get the same results in C5S as in P6 when using Toon Pro. Can anyone point me to examples of Poser Characters rendered in C5S with using Toon Pro? I also do have Transposer, but when importing my figures from Poser 6, the toonshaders are being lost, unfortunally.

Due to the childish TOS changes, I'm not allowed to link to my other products outside of Rendo anymore :(

Food for thought.....

I am too new to Carrara myself to answer your question (don't have the Toon plug-in yet either) but just thought I'd say welcome. 😄

Toon Pro is pretty featured. Check the gallery I do think there were several there.

No need to think outside the box....

I use Toon Pro. Because you get lines around the transparent things, you need to render twice. Once with and once without lines then in photoshop you need to erase the extra lines. Love esther

That's cool esther, The images are pretty good. I think the text size (too big) and font, is a bit hard to read for the word fear (I am on 1280x1024). I am also unsure whether this is a serious statement or a joke. I can't really tell from the last scene. It may not be finished so that may be why. Isn't AM retired now?

A custom shader would have to be made to get variable width outlines.  I added a simple Fresnel.

Thanks for all of the replies. I'll check out the links and names given, to figure out if Toon Pro is what I'm looking for or not.
